Well, it's Valentine's Day. What say you about this holiday? I just so happen to love it. In college, before I was coupled up, my girlfriends and roommates would go all out for this holiday. Chinese food was always on the top of the list, a very special ganache cake, flowers, hand-selected valentine's day cards and, quite obviously, the most romantic movie of the 21st century: Moulin Rouge. We were all, for the most part, single but does that mean this day is reserved for the lovers? I don't think so.
I still send Valentines to all my friends (and a certain 5-year-old and 3-year-old I know) and, to me, that's the best part. Letting people who don't hear it every day from you that, yes, I do love you and you mean a lot to me.
So, while Jon is my Valentine today and every day, I think this holiday can so easily get lost in translation. Happy V-day to you and yours and hey, go get yourself a ganache cake, ok? I think we both know you deserve at least two pieces.

I got my Valentine out of Jax's mouth this morning (he's started this neat thing of catching the mail when it comes in the door and putting holes in all our bills ...). Thank you, darling!
